R2R-CIGS is a European collaborative project to develop cost-effective processes and techno­logies for high volume production of flexible solar modules.

R2R-CIGS derives its name from the so-called Roll-to-Roll high volume manufacturing method and from the high efficiency CIGS material coating that converts sunlight into electricity.

• Automated systems to produce flexible solar modules for buildings, electronics and transportation
• Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) roll-to-roll system
• Encapsulation technologies for flexible solar modules and water-sensitive flexible products
• Automated laser scribing roll-to-roll system for thin-film solar modules.
